　　Nowadays, neighbors depend on each other less than the people in thepast.

　　To begin with, the fast-paced society leads to alienated neighbors.

　　段落解析：（引出主题句）快节奏的生活疏远了邻里关系。

　　it is undeniable that people nowadays benefit from the ever-accelerated update of science and technology in all aspects of life. However, at the same time, the pace of life gets dramatically increased, which, obviously takes up the time that could be spent in getting along with neighbors. Consequently, people barely know about those living in the neighborhood, let alone closeness to each other.

　　段落解析：（解释原因）快节奏的生活使得人们没有时间与邻居相处。

　　A few decades ago, in contrast, the competition was not so intense and people did not have to rush to meet various people. Hence, they had adequate time to spend with their neighbors, talking daily hassles out and resolving issues for each other.

　　段落解析：（对比论证）过去生活节奏较慢，邻居有时间相处。

　　My grandmother always sighs with emotional contact of neighbors, saying that she never needed to worry about picking up mails or taking care of kids when she was out of town, since her neighbors were trustworthy to be given this kind of jobs.

　　段落解析：（举例论证）通过奶奶之口解释过去邻居之间互相依赖。

　　From this perspective, due to the accelerated rhythm of life, people largely reduced their contact with their neighbors, thus less depending on them.
