　　Do you agree or disagree the following statement: Talented people’s leadership is bornnaturally and can’t be learned by people.

　　An outstanding skill of being a leader is pursued by most people. However, not all of thosepeople could achieve a certain level. Talented people’s leadership, I believe, is almostimpossible to learn.

　　There are plenty of characters of a gifted person. I am thinking here, for example, the highintellectual level, fast reaction to complex situation and the ability to process multiple taskssimultaneously. When it comes to leadership, these qualities are very closely tied up with itand a less than brilliant mind has almost the least possibility to simply learn. I am takingNapoleon Bonaparte as an example here. As an extremely ambitious conqueror, hisexpansion basically made himself the common enemy, or the nightmare if you like, of all of theEuropean monarchs. He managed to reign over the Continent for more than a decade, not onlythrough a series of startling military triumph against those well-armed Prussian, Austrian andRussian warring machines, but also through launching a far more advanced political system ofwhich nobody could possibly imagined at the moment. The political situation was socomplicated that barely anybody in history would handle it so successfully. His nephew, LuisBonaparte was a typical example. This second-rated mind had no common feature as his unclebut shared the same family name. All he had done was to imitate the way Napoleon hadplanned. But this led to a hilariously ugly ending, with his being captured by those angryGermans, leaving behind thousands of unnecessary death of his fellow Frenchmen.

　　Also talented people’s leadership not only is simple case of a static status but also refers tothe entire development of leadership. The mobility of those fast learners is mostly impossibleto learn. I was in an outdoor sport club. My team leader demonstrated me an amazing ability inimproving her knowledge of mountain climbing and rock-climbing. Within a month, she turnedher operation of a huge variety of mountain-related equipments and devices into anartisanship that she quickly established her authority in this field. Her leadership comes fromher ability of quick access to new knowledge, which requires the inborn learning ability, whichseems has no way to learn from for sure.

　　Although less talented people keep a pace of learning leadership, it is very hard for them toobtain any higher level beyond their intellectual limits. I have seen many employees workextremely hard. But they always fall behind one step than those people who are able to thinkand act more quickly. They certainly are good workers but still too far away from the leadershipthey have been dreaming of.
