　　Some people like to make challenging plans for their future; while others prefer to have practical plans. Which do you think is better?

　　In order to do things more successfully, people make plans before they act. Some plans are practical, while others are quite challenging. Which type is better? Since practical plans are more likely to bring us a happy and successful life, I prefer them to challenging ones.

　　Practical plans are easy to be accomplished, so people will lead an easy life; on the contrary, challenging ones often make people over-burdened. Challenging plans are often beyond people’s capacity, so they will have to work overtime every day to achieve their goals; however, if people get their practical plans done step by step, they are more likely to achieve challenging goals. One of my sisters just broke up with her boyfriend last month, and she attributed that to her weight, then she decided to go on a diet and to lose 20 pounds in two weeks. In order to achieve that, she seldom ate anything, and she finally fainted one week later. If she had carried out a more realistic plan, she would not have suffered so much. In this case, challenging plan not only makes success impossible, but also does great harm to our health condition.

　　People need support from their family members and friends when they carry out their plans, but challenging plans often make it difficult to get support; however, people with realistic plans can gain others’ trust and assistance more easily. Without enough assistance from others, even a practical plan can fail, not to mention challenging ones. My cousin just started his career last year, and he earns about 1500 dollars per month. After two months he started to work, he decided to buy a car. At first, he aimed a BMW X6, which was too expensive for a graduate, thus, everyone in the family opposed it. Then he changed the target to a Ford Focus, my grandma even sponsored him 2000 dollars. In this case, practical plans invite help from people around us and thus we have better chance to succeed.

　　Challenging plans may sound exciting and fabulous, but most of them are not as good as they look like. If people really desire a sound development, they should make practical plans, because being happy and being supported are all necessary conditions of a successful life.
