　　Question: Some people believe that it is the innate talents make a person an artist. While others think that it is the efforts a person put in that make the person an artist. Which do you prefer and why?

　　2. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement that artists need to be talented to be successful.

　　托福口语范文一:

　　In terms of the nature or nurture problem, I may say it’s the mutual influence that makes a person an artist. However, I think the inborn talent is more crucial than that of the effort.

　　Firstly, art appreciation requires an advanced value and an appreciation system, which are not frequently seen among the public and it is different from other tasks that the experiences could be accumulated over the course of lifetime.

　　Secondly, the primitive attitude toward art and ability in approaching an art piece cannot be acquired in a systematical learning.

　　托福口语范文二:

　　Personally, I don't agree with this statement. Actually, it isn't talent that makes great artists, it's hard work, persistence, will power, determination, and fortitude. Not every great artist can draw nice pictures by the age of five. Successful artists aren't underpinned by talent, it is an excuse not to put in the effort that is needed to be a successful artist. There are other more important factors like, to be able to seek out social connections, and build on them. Connecting with peers and mentors is more important than being talented.
