Sub-point 1 分论点1They died of toxic algae.The fossils of ichthyosaurs show that they died in different time. Some were formed earlier than others.

Sub-point 3 分论点3They were preserved in a pattern by other creatures.These nine bones were put in order; however, this creature only put them at random.

　　The writer and the speaker have a debate on the reasons about the death of Ichthyosaurs. The writer puts forward three theories, which are opposed by the following lecture.

　　First, the writer claims that they died of toxic algae. while the speaker views this issue from an opposite angle. According to him/her, the fossils of ichthyosaurs show that they died in different time. Some were formed earlier than others.

　　Secondly, the passage states that they stranded in shallow water. However, the speaker casts doubt on this opinion by saying that According to the seafloor, it was deep water in the past.

　　Last, the writer argues that they were preserved in a pattern by other creatures. By contrast, in accordance with the speaker, this claim does not hold water. These nine bones were put in order; however, this creature only put them at random.
