　　托福高频词汇解析:Treacherous [ˈtrɛtʃərəs]

　　虽然是个读起来跟treasure有些相似，但是却是个恶意满满的词儿，先来看看韦氏词典里的解释。

　　1. [adjective] likely to betray trust

　　2. [adjective] providing insecure footingor support, marked by hidden dangers, hazards or perils

　　两层意思，第一层多是形容和人相关的，不忠诚的，可能背叛你的，比如 atreacherous aristocrat who betrays his king, a treacherous act, feeltreacherous to my own country。

　　第二层意思，是表示有隐藏的危险，多用于形容道路等环境，受天气等因素影响，比如Snow and ice have left many roads treacherous, and drivers are warnedto use caution，或者 treacherous sea，treacherous quicksand。也可指更抽象意义上的领域，Discussionabout money can lead couples into treacherous territory.

　　最后再给大家对比一下几个跟不忠，背叛相关的形容词，有一些微小的差别

　　Faithless: applies to any failure to keep apromise or pledge or any breach of allegiance or loyalty.

　　False: stresses the fact of failing to betrue in any manner ranging from fickleness to cold treachery.

　　Disloyal: implies a lack of completefaithfulness to a friend, cause, leader, or country.

　　Traitorous: implies either actual treasonor a serious betrayal of trust.

　　Treacherous: implies readiness to betraytrust or confidence.

　　Perfidious adds to faithless theimplication of an incapacity for fidelity or reliability.
