练习托福写作把握文章的句子结构很重要

　　为了帮助考生对托福写作考试内容更加熟悉，在考试中能有更好的发挥。下面新东方在线托福网为大家带来练习托福写作把握文章的句子结构很重要一文，更多精彩尽请关注新东方在线托福网!

　　在托福写作中，除了从句，可以试图增加句子结构的丰富度，不如用非谓语短语、名词性成分(同位语)、介词+名词短语等来替换从句，这样句子还会显得很有节奏感的灵动性。一味地追求句子的长度有时反而会牺牲句子的“可读性”，特别是对一些基础一般的学生来说，有时生硬地追求长句反而破坏了句子的句法准确性。

　　例如，收到学生的文章中就有些表达比较繁复，不是很简洁。比如第一段： In someone’s opinion, college is a paradise that can offer a comfortable, relaxing, and free environment and has less homework to finish and less pressure to undertake. 简洁的写法可以改成：In someone’s opinion, college is a paradise of a comfortable, relaxing, and free environment,without heavy burdens of homework.

　　因此选择合适的语法结构可以使句子意思的表达更为精确和简练。以下，推荐两种语法结构，同学们练习写作时可以参考：

　　A. 句中插入修饰性短，逻辑词或者副词等，简单来说就是在长句子中加入小短语，用逗号划分，使得句子读起来内容丰富之余也更加有节奏感。

　　例如：Researchers, now analyzing the results of data gathered in 1994, say arthritis, high blood pressure and circulation problems - the major medical complaints in this age group - are troubling a smaller proportion every year.研究者们正在分析1994年收集的数据结果，他们表示，困扰这一年龄段老年人的主要疾病是关节炎、高血压和循环系统疾病，这些疾病的患病人数比例正在逐年下降。

　　I think that, given my academic and cultural background, I would fit in well with the student life and contribute to my school.

　　考虑到我学术和文化的背景，我认为我能很好地融入到校园生活中并且为学校做贡献。

　　Improvements in childhood nutrition in the first quarter of the twentieth century, for example, gave today's elderly people a better start in life than their predecessors.

　　例如，在20世纪的前25年中，儿童营养状况的改善使现在的老年人比以前的人们拥有更加健康的生活开端。

　　It is my duty to inform the school about events that concern students, especially unfair ones, and to state my opinion on such policies.

　　这是我的职责去向学校反映一些和学生有关的事件，特别是一些不公平的事，从而来表达我对这些政策的意见。

　　The Internet is, simply, a collection of screens of information that reside on thousands of computers around the world.

　　网络，简单来说就是全世界数以千计的电脑上满屏的信息的集合。

　　B. 同学们写作时往往习惯用中文思维，然后再翻译成英文，这就会使得大家偏向于选择主动语态，主语也常常试在“we" " you" " I" 等词之间徘徊。所以我们应该巧用一些被动语态爱中的固定用法。

　　可以用“ It is+动词的过去分词+that” 来形成一些客观的表达。例如：

　　It is reported that the impact of Internet on the whole world is difficult to quantify.

　　据报道互联网对于整个世界的影响是难以衡量的。

　　It has been confirmed by scientists that prolonged exposure to high levels of noise in modern cities can lead to hearing loss and high blood pressure.

　　科学家已证实长期置身于现代城市的高强度噪音中会导致听力损耗和血压升高。

　　It is acknowledged that Coca-Cola embodies the spirit and essence of American culture, which is unequalled by any other American product.

　　人们普遍认为，可口可乐承载着美国文化的精神和精髓，没有任何其他的美国产品可以与之相媲美。

　　It is believed that playing football makes you part of a family where members share the experience and lifestyle across the world.

　　人们相信足球会使他们融入一个大家庭，在那里大家可以共享世界各地的经历和生活方式。

　　It is imperative that he should act as naturally as possible.

　　至关重要的是他需要尽可能地自然行事。

　　It is noticeable that women do not have the rivalry that men have.

　　显而易见的是女性没有像男性那样的争强好胜。

　　It has been proven that long-term regular cola intake is associated with osteoporosis in older women.

　　老年妇女长期定期摄入可乐与骨质疏松之间的联系已被证实。

　　It cannot be denied that the education and test of the soul of people should be the inherent mainstream that really permeates education。

　　不可否认的是，对人的灵魂的教育与洗礼，应该是教育的一条内在的真正贯穿始终的主线。
