　　小朋友会因为需要不断练习而不愿意学习乐器，作为家长应该怎么做?1)强迫孩子学习乐器;2)让孩子自己选择是否学习乐器。

　　题目

　　Some people think that those children who do not want to keep learning a musical instrument course should be required to keep learning the course; while others think that those children should be allowed to make decisions by themselves (they can still do exercises by themselves without continuing with the class). What is your opinion and why?Please give specific details to support your opinion.

　　考题解析

　　这是Task2中经典Preference题型，只需做出选择并给出合理解释，切忌不可给出模棱两可的选择。此题无论选择哪种, 只要给出合理的解释即可，可采用推理与事实论证的方法进行细节扩充。

　　参考答题思路：

　　Children should be required to keep learning the course

　　SD:

　　①Their musical skills can be more specialized

　　②Learning in the class can make kids’ musical skills always up-to-date;

　　③It’s easier and better for children to get to know more people with the same interest when taking the course, so that their social network can be expanded;

　　Children should be allowed to make decisions by themselves (they can still do exercises by themselves without continuing with the class)

　　SD:

　　①It can help to save money for family esp. for some poor families;

　　②Always pushing kids to take the course will only make them have less interest in learning and playing musical instruments, so it will make no sense to keep learning the course.

　　Personally speaking, I agree with thestatement that students get to make their own decisions. Because you know,musical instrument course shouldn’t be compulsory, they are electives. I am notdenying the fact that learning musical instruments will help us appreciate thebeauty of music, but it can be dull and boring if we just turn some interestsinto something we have to learn. Besides, the time spent in taking instruments canactually be applied to what we are really interested in. For me, I am ashopholic, so i will make full use of my every minute in keeping track of thelatest fashion trend, and taking any course unrelated to that will be a wasteof time for me.
