　　【音频】One of the most important object for me is my wife?s photo album and her diaries. She gave it to me just the day before I left for America to study. Back then we had been together for like only two months and it would be quite some time before we could see each other again. She wanted me to read her diaries about us and look at her pictures if I am tired, stressed or bored. She wanted to use it to remind myself that I am not alone in another country. And it did give me strength and courage to keep going, no matter what difficulties I am facing. My wife is the person I love the most in the world, so does her photos and diaries.

　　52. Some people tend to judge a person on the basis of first observation. Some people believe it takes a long

　　time to know a person well. Which approach to knowing people do you think is better and why?

　　I don't agree with the statement that one can judge a person simply by the appearance at the first glance. However, a first impression is very important. For example, if you would like to employ a position at a company, the interviewers would judge you by the appearance at the first glance, cuz they do not have a plenty of time to understand you. In the contrary, there is saying goes Time will tell a person?s real character, so only judge a person from one side is problematic.

　　【音频】I'm not saying that people should lie to get what they want, but I don't' agree with that people should always tell the truth, because sometimes lying doesn't definitely mean to harm others and is even necessary. For example, if you are taking care of a patient suffering from a serious illness, it's important to give the patient hope, in such case, in order to help the patient to release psychological pressure, modest lying is useful. Another example is in business or politics, people always adopt acceptable lies as negotiation strategy to win more benefits for their own. So not telling the truth is ok and sometimes helpful.

　　【音频】I don't think it's reliable to judge a person by the first glance. Firstly, appearance doesn't represent all. The information of a person you can get from a glance is very limited. You can't tell many things just from the appearance, such as the past, hobbies, eating habits and so on. Furthermore, appearance lies, it may trick you. What you can get is partial, which may even lead to prejudice. A person who dresses decently and talks sincerely doesn't imply that he's definitely innocent and kind. You can't judge a book by its cover. So I support that one shouldn't judge a person just from the appearance.

　　53. If you get a chance to choose, will you choose a job or career?

　　【音频】I will definitely choose a career. To me, a job is just a temporary work. In the beginning, I may feel it's new and interesting. I can make new friends and learn quite a lot of things from it. However, as time goes by, once I find myself stuck in a job which does not interest me anymore, my career on this job would end. I may go find another job that satisfies my needs, but it will probably end up like the last one. Choosing a career is different. Career means that something you want to build on your interest. By choosing a career, I think I will be fascinated and excited about my work, especially when I see it developing. It is a great feeling to see your long-term effort paying you off in the future. Most importantly, a career not only gives me a job, but also the personal satisfaction as well.

　　54. If you unexpectedly receive a large amount of money, what will you do with it? Would you spend it for practical purposes or simply for fun? State your opinion and explain your reasons.

　　If I have a large amount of money I will use them doing some practice things, like setting up a charity for the poor who dreamed of attending schools. Well, there is a Harvard's saying goes enter to grow in wisdom, depart to serve better thy country and thy kind. The saying always reminds me to do something constructive and beneficial to the ordinary people and help them to realize their dream of education. I bet no one can deny that getting education is a legal right for everyone.

　　【音频】If I have a great amount of money, I prefer to do some practical things. For example, maybe I'll donate the extra money to charity foundations in order to help the poor. I'll be glad to see them happy. Besides, I also want to do something for my parents because they have been always working hard for me and it's a good chance for me to do something nice for them. And if I have enough money, I'll buy all the things I've ever wanted when i was a kid, like a book store or a boutique. Money means a win-win situation for me and the others.

　　55. What do you think the students should do in their vacations? Please include specific examples and details in your statement.

　　As far as I am concerned, the first thing students should do during the vacation is to have a good rest. Like watching TV, playing basketball and do on. If the students relaxed well, they can be more efficient in the next term and get better scores in the final exam. The second thing is to recharge themselves by various knowledge or attend some practice activities in order to improve their various abilities and rich their inner qualities.

　　【音频】Students might have many choices to spend a vacation as long as they can make the vacation time interesting or helpful. For example, you can visit your families or friends, go to concerts or do many other things for relaxation. You can also plan a trip to the city or somewhere you are longing for, which will help to broaden your view and knowledge. Furthermore, you can also choose to have a vacation internship, and the experience will increase your income as well as make you familiar with the society. So there is never lack of choices.
