　　素材积累是托福口语复习过程中，必不可少的一项任务。今天新东方在线托福网为大家带来的是有关食物的口语素材，正所谓民以食为天，美食在大家的日常中重要的一部分。

　　Aside from the beautiful scenery and hospitable residents of Central China's Hunan province, the local cuisine, especially the street food, is a great attraction for tourists from home and abroad.

　　Here are several of the most popular and well-known delicacies in Hunan province:

　　Hunan rice noodles

　　湖南米粉For residents of Hunan province, a breakfast of rice noodles is the start of a typical morning.

　　对于湖南当地人，一般早餐都是由一碗米粉开始的。

　　There are two types of rice noodles in Hunan, round and flat, served fried or in soup.

　　在湖南米粉分两种，圆粉和宽粉。可以是炒粉也可以是汤粉。

　　There are various flavors and toppings: pork ribs, beef, mushrooms and different spices.

　　湖南米粉有很多种风味与配料：猪排，牛肉，蘑菇等等。

　　But be careful, red chili peppers are widely used in Hunan's rice noodle dishes.

　　不过要注意，湖南米粉普遍都会添加红色的辣椒。

　　Stinky tofu

　　臭豆腐

　　The black fried tofu most likely tops the list of most well-known Hunan street foods because of itspungency and great taste.

　　这些被煎黑的豆腐属于湖南街边最有名的小吃，它们尝起来味道不错带有辛辣味。

　　Many people who come to Hunan for the first time grab the opportunityto taste this local snack.

　　很多第一次去湖南的人都一定会抓住机会去尝这个当地小吃。

　　It is essentially fermented tofu, which is why it has a strong odor.

　　臭豆腐是经过发酵而制成的，这就是为什么它会有很重的味道。It is then fried, at which time the tofu turns dark grey or black.

　　发酵后，会将豆腐进行煎炒，这个时候豆腐颜色就会变黑变暗。

　　Seasoned with red chili peppers and salted radish cubes or other locally made spices, it's served

　　in plastic bowls at street food stands.

　　通常街边商贩会用用红辣椒和咸萝卜或其它当地调料给臭豆腐调味，然后把它们放在一个塑料碗里。

　　Crawfish

　　小龙虾

　　This is a popular dish in the summer, when friends would gather and order a large bowl of crawfish with beer.

　　这道菜在夏日很受欢迎，朋友们在一起聚会的时候都会点一大碗小龙虾，再点上几瓶啤酒。

　　When cooked, kou wei xia, which translates into tasty crawfish, are spicy because of the use

　　of different seasonings, including red chili peppers, bruised ginger and greenonions.

　　当地人也称这些龙虾为口味虾，这个名称将小龙虾的美味给形象的表现出来了。口味虾的味道也偏辣，因为它的配料由红辣椒，姜末与青葱混合而成。
