　　2月4日托福口语范文解析

　　TASK 1

　　Who do you think should take the greatest responsibility to teach children what is right and what is wrong. Give your explanation in your response.

　　Sample response

　　In my view, parents shoulder the greatest responsibility to tell students what is right and what is wrong. The most important reason is that it is parents who spend the majority of the time with their children, like eating meals with kids, having recreational activities with kids, watching TV or movies with their children. So if their parents often teach children what is right, what is reasonable and what is wrong, what is unacceptable, then their children may adapt to and well behave in many social situations. However, teachers or some friends may only accompany children for one year or several years. Thus, they may not exert influence as much as their parents.

　　TASK 2

　　Do you agree or disagree with the statement that people should always join in activities they are good at or have talent for.

　　Sample response

　　I don't think people should only engage in activities they are familiar with or adept at. On the contrary, people are supposed to try something new, especially when they are young.

　　I remember clearly before I went to the college, I was a naughty boy who was only skilled at basketball and football. However, when I was a freshman, my university took the swimming as a compulsory class for students in my department. At first, I really didn't like it because I haven't learnt swimming. Gradually, with the help of teachers and other classmates, I mastered many swimming strokes, such as the butterfly stroke, the freestyle, the breaststroke and so on. Thanks to this compulsory class, now I have one more choice when workout or relaxing with my friends.
