　　I think it is just as important for older people to learn new things as it is for younger people to do so. Older people benefit because study keeps life interesting, provides information to teach, and helps the brain stay healthy.

　　Although it may seem trite, I believe that one of the best reasons for older adults to continue learning is because it is fun. Study provides new fuel to think and talk about. Learning new things also can create new goals, which also helps keep life interesting. Many older people don’t know what to do with their time and sit bored and idle. My mother is quite the contrast because many years ago she decided to learn something new every day. She keeps busy with reading books and looking up articles. She always has something new to share when we talk. Study certainly has enriched her life, making it much more fun.............
