　　Do think it is a good idea for school to forbid students to use cell phone in school? Please include details and examples in your explanation.

　　School is planning to forbid the use of cellphone on campus. What do you think are the effects of the policy?

　　托福口语范文一:

　　Well, honestly I don't think it is a good idea to ban cell phone in school. I actually depend on cell phone to connect with my friends. You know, I use lots of social network apps like wechat, twitter, and facebook to update what is going on with my life and send messages to my friends. These social networks bring me and my friends closer. Additionally, without a cell phone, I cannot get hold of my friends and families in case of an emergency and that can be disastrous. So I guess it will be a lot inconvenient without cell phone.(新东方 孟炎)

　　The prohibition of using cellphone has both positive and negative effects on students.

　　Merits are that cellphone is a useful tool for students in many aspects of their daily lives. The multifunction of a cellphone can be a lot help to them when it comes to checking new vocabularies and learning extra curriculum online.

　　However, One the other hand, the misusage of this tool can be a disaster for students’ study and health. When they obsessively cling to it and get distracted by the information considered negative for students, chances are that their performance in study and also physical condition will both heading downward.

　　If mobile phones are forbidden in school, there may be some good effects.

　　One benefit is that students may better concentrate on their studies. Instead of playing cellphone games, chatting with others or surfing the Internet, they may better focus on the teachers and remember the knowledge more clearly.

　　The other benefit is that this may help students save money. Taking my younger sister for example, now she is the freshman, and she will have to pay around 40 dollars a month for her telephone charge. If she doesn't use it that often, I think she may only have to around 10 dollars per month.

　　These are the possible good results of forbidding using cell phones in schools.
