Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Students are moreinfluenced by their teachers than by their friends.

  In the eyes of many students, teachers boast absolute authority in education. There might be occasional interactions in class. Yet in most cases, seldom do teachers have direct contacts with each student respectively. As long as thorough communication is hindered, the teachers' personal influences on the students might be considerably confined. On the contrary, more time is spent with friends, whose behavior and viewpoints can directly affect them. Thereafter, I believe that teachers produce no more influences than friends do.

  Firstly, psychological inversion may occur to the students whose teachers always give strict orders and schools are forever setting harsh rules. Too much pressure forces the students to look upto their teachers with awe and respect. There exists an invisible barrier between them. In consequence, it is difficult for any beneficial influences from the teachers to reach them directly. Moreover, some students would rather stay away from the power exertedupon themrather than make themselves passive receptacles.Never could they obey the teachers obediently, not to mention to carry on effective communication. To illustrate, when high school students are asked about their attitude toward teachers, most of them might use the same word "afraid".

  Secondly, the "1-to-all" mode of teaching may also lead to the teachers' neglect of the uniqueness of students. Each student is an individual that needs different treatment and mo r e person-to-person instructions so as to produce desirable influences. A recent research conducted by the State Education Bureau indicates that over 60 percent of the high school students in China feel they are ignored by their teachers. Such a cruel reality vividly demonstrates the teachers' inability to produce powerful influences on every student in class.

  Conversely, no gap exists between friends. No matter whether the friends are good or evil, influences can easily fall upon them. In effect, friends are tightly bound together, thus, they have more to share. The majority of time is spent together with friends, either on campus or out of school.Friendship just plays the role a wide bridge connecting the hearts and minds of good friends. One's concepts may be easily revealed and in turn affect the thoughts of the other. It is nothing but a natural occurrence.

  All in all, great influences only take effect on the basis of overall communication. The shortcomings of classroom education may lessen the teachers' influences on the students. Judging from the above-mentioned argument, we may naturally arrive at the conclusion that teachers are not in a better position to impact their students than friends.

在很多学生眼中,老师享有绝对的教育权威。虽然在课堂上偶尔会有师生互动,然而在大多数情况下,老师很少与每个学生都分别进行直接的沟通。只要深入交流遭到阻碍,老师对学生产生的个人影响力也会极大地受到限制。相反,学生们更多的时间是与朋友共度的,而朋友的行为和观点会对他们产生直接影响。因此,我认为老师对学生的影响没有朋友带来的影响大。

首先,面对无休止地发出严厉指令的老师和总是制定苛刻纪律的校方,学生可能会产生逆反心理。过多的压力迫使学生以敬畏的心态仰视他们的老师。师生之间存在着一道无形的屏障。因此,源自老师的有益影响很难直达学生。更有甚者,一些学生宁可逃离强加在他们身上的“威力”也不愿变成被动的“接收容器”。他们从来不会听话地服从命令,更不用说进行有效的沟通了。举个例子,当中学生被问到对老师的态度时,大多数人都会用同一个词——“害怕”。

其次,“一对多”的教学模式可能也导致了老师对学生个性的疏忽。每个学生都需要与众不同的对待,也应接受更多面对面的指导,这样才能产生积极的影响。由国家教育局近期进行的一项研究表明,超过60%的中国中学生感觉他们被自己的老师忽视了。如此残酷的事实充分说明,老师无法积极影响班里的每位同学。

恰恰相反,朋友之间无隔阂可言。不管朋友是好是坏,他们所产生的影响是直接的。实际上,朋友的心紧紧联系在一起,因此,他们有更多可以分享的事情。在校园里或者在放学后,绝大部分时间都是与朋友一起度过的。友谊就是一座连结好友心灵的宽阔桥梁,一个人的观念很容易展现于对方面前,从而对其思维产生影响。这也正是自然而然发生的。

总的来说,只有在全面沟通的基础上强大的影响力才会生效。然而,课堂教育潜在的缺陷可能会减少老师对学生的影响。从以上论述我们可以得出这样的结论,那就是,比起他们的朋友,老师带给学生的影响是相对较弱的。
