1、科学家做了实验,发现把knees放在装满氧气的容器(container)里经过一段时间后,氧气含量(content of oxygen)并没有变化,说明knees根本不是用来吸收氧气的;

2、用来保持树的稳定支撑的根是垂直(vertical)的根,而knees是生长在水平(horizontal)的根上的,所以不具备保持稳定的功能(additional stability);

Recently several cities have made it a rule that teachers will give primary school students (aged 5-10) no more than 30 minutes of homework per night, because the students get enough instruction during the regular school day. Do you agree or disagree with this rule? Why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Be sure to use your own words. Do not use memorized examples.

1. First, spending no more than 30 minutes doing homework every day would help children to form good study habits during their formative years, especially on time management and learning efficiency.

2. Moreover, since students are studying hard at school in the daytime, a 30-minute homework time constraint is reasonable for the sake of maintaining students’ learning interest and motivation.
