As a most respectable profession in the human society, teachers are more than devoted knowledge disseminators. They are rather soul architects who play an indispensable role in helping youngsters construct superior mentality. Qualified teachers are capable of enlightening others' hearts and minds and lead them toward brilliant success. Undeniably, self-confidence should be included in the qualities teachers strive to help their students to build. However, in my opinion, it is equally important for teachers to make their students educated and capable.

Above all, it is the most fundamental task for every teacher to teach the specific knowledge efficiently. Under the instructions of their teachers in class, students can obtain a thorough understanding of what has been printed in the textbooks. That is perhaps where the essence of school education lies. There is no excuse to underestimate the significance of this preliminary step in teaching. Thus, we may compare the fundamental knowledge that has beencomprehended by the students to the concrete basement of a towering architecture. Without its stable sustenance, the upper parts of this giant building might be on the verge of collapse. Accordingly, the teachers are required to make full use of their intelligence and adopt constructive teaching methods to ensure the effective performance of this task.

Besides, teachers are in the best position to train their students to become self-confident. A qualified teacher is one who acts as an emotional leader. He possesses the ability to offer the most favorable mental guidance for his students. Needless to say, any successful individual must be confident enough so as to embrace challenges and overcome them with a strong will. Self-confidence is closely associated with self-esteem and self-assuredness in one's individual abilities and qualities. Such a favorable spiritual condition is irreplaceably critical during the struggle for success. Students are at an age when concepts and minds could be easily affected by others, especially his teachers. Therefore, whenever a student has done a good job in his studies, teachers should offer him compliments and encourage him to go on making good efforts. Likewise,whenever a student encounters a failure or an obstacle during the course of learning, it relies on teachers who continue to support him and help him out of the temporary distress. All these are what an excellent soul guide would do. In most cases, the fulfillment of such duties would bring out the full potential of young students.

As a matter of fact, the teachers' chief responsibilities have gone far beyond teaching knowledge and cultivating the students' confidence. They are producing influences in many other aspects. For instance, by presenting mature and enlightening outlooks on life and the outside world,teachers lead young people to adopt correct and positive values. Just like navigators on the grand ocean, they help thempave the way toward brilliant success.

Undoubtedly, students are the biggest beneficiaries of school education. Meanwhile, teaching is also a rewarding and meaningful career that fills educators with happiness and pride. Thus, no matter how much sacrifice a teacher has to make, these painstaking efforts shall not be made for nothing.With the emergence of more confident, knowledgeable and competent individuals, their personalvalues are perfectly justified.
