Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People can take care oftheir family members better when they live in big cities than in the countryside.

　　Controversial discussions comparing big cities with thecountryside have continued for years. So far there has beenno definite conclusion from either side. Lately, a new roundof debate started, concerned with whether living in a big citymakes it easier for people to take care of their familymembers or not. In my opinion, however, both advantagesand disadvantages exist within both environments.

　　In large cities, there are more convenient facilitiesoffered than in the countryside. There is an ample supply ofdaily necessities in urban districts. The advanced networkof public transport makes it easier for people to commute todifferent locations, including shopping malls, parks andrestaurants, etc. Medical care is also more accessible, withhospitals being set up on all corners of the city. Thus, healthproblems could be addressed in a timely manner. Meanwhile,there are many places for recreation in big cities so that thewhole family can spend enjoyable times together.

　　However, some undesirable aspects of city life shouldbe considered. For example, pollution has become a severeproblem. Waste gas is being emitted into the air from varioussources, including vehicles and industrialplants.Furthermore, the environment is also being negativelyaffected by high levels of noise pollution. Pollutants areeverywhere to be found in urban areas, thus posing a bigthreat to the family's health. Another problem lies in thefaster pace of city life. Today more and more young peoplein big cities are deprived of time spent with their families.Therefore, it is extremely difficult for them to take good careof their loved ones.

　　In contrast, the natural environment in the countrysideoffers positive benefits to people's health. In rural areas,people can breathe fresh air, smell the flowers and enjoybeautiful scenery. Green trees, vast fields and majesticmountains are all pleasing to the eye. It is the relaxedlifestyle of the countryside that can totally refresh a person'smind. This helps all members of the family to be in a goodmood and stay healthy. Being closer to nature is a bigadvantage of country life. The cost of living is alsocomparatively lower in the countryside; thus the family dietcan be improved. However, there is no denying that theundeveloped infrastructure can cause inconveniences incountry life.

　　In conclusion, taking good care of the family is the mostsacred responsibility of all social members. Selecting afavorable living environment for them is also an importantduty to perform. In order to make a satisfactory decision, itis advisable for people to take into account both the meritsand disadvantages of the big cities versus the countrysidewhen considering about their own personal situations.

　　大城市比乡村拥有更便利的设施。在城市地区，日常生活必需品供应充足。先进的公共交通网络使人们更容易抵达不同的地方，包括大型购物中心、公园和餐厅等。医疗保健同样也更加方便，医院遍及城市的各个角落。于是，健康问题可以得到及时的应对。与此同时，在大城市中还有很多娱乐场所，因此，全家人可以在那里一起共享天伦。

　　然而，城市生活也有某些不尽如人意的地方需要考虑。例如，污染已经成为一个严重的问题。废气正从各种源头，包括车辆和工厂，释放到空气中。此外，环境还被高级别的噪音污染所危害。在城市市区，污染物随处可见，从而对家人的健康造成很大威胁。另一个问题在于都市生活的更快节奏。如今，大城市里越来越多的年轻人已经被剥夺了与家人共处的时间。于是，照顾亲人对于他们而言就变得极其艰难了。

　　相比之下，农村的自然环境对人们的健康十分有益。在那里，人们可以呼吸到新鲜的空气，闻到芬芳的花朵，并欣赏美妙的风景。郁郁葱葱的树木、宽广无垠的田野以及巍峨壮丽的群山都无比赏心悦目。正是农村这种轻松的生活方式能使人完全恢复到最佳心态。它有助于所有家庭成员保持良好的情绪与健康。更接近大自然是乡村生活的一大优势。那里的生活开销也相对较低，这样可以改善家人的饮食。尽管如此，我们也不能否认农村落后的基础设施会给生活带来不便。

　　总之，照顾好家人是所有社会成员最神圣的责任。为他们选择理想的生活环境也是很重要的任务。为了作出令人满意的决定，在顾及自己个人情况的同时，人们还应该考虑到大城市和农村之间的优、劣势对比。
