Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People can solve important problems by themselves or with the help from their family members so there's no need for the government to help them.

Among the countless problems in our everyday lives,many are too complicated to be handled alone. Indeed,nobody can do without the help from others, especially under difficult conditions. Family members are often the most reliable people we can turn to, but it is also the responsibility of the government to help its citizens and this kind of support can sometimes bring about better results.Therefore, it is absolutely necessary for the government to assist us in times of need.

To begin with, some problems can be better solved with the help of the government. For instance, when a child is missing, the best solution is to report it immediately to the police. Then a full-scale search can be carried out. If a child has been kidnapped, the police are the most qualified to save that child from danger. When serious pollution has been caused by a nearby factory and threatens the residents'health, it is also advisable to turn to the government for help.In this way, immediate measures can be taken to stop thefactory from releasing more pollutants. When a con sumer has purchased a product and finds that it is inferior, he can seek legal assistance from the government. In this way, his losses might be reimbursed and his basic rights better protected. Evidently, the government is in the best position to help people solve such important problems.

As public servants, officials should do their best to help ordinary citizens when they are in trouble. In the past,Chairman Mao used to inspire the Chinese government to serve the people heart and soul. Such an inspiration ought to be passed down from generation to generation.Doubtlessly, the gap existing between the authorities and the common citizens needs to be narrowed. One of the major reasons why some individuals are reluctant to seek help fromthe government lies in that gap. People have formed the impression that the officials are too busy to care about their private matters and such an assessment needs to be changed.

As a matter of fact, social responsibilities are mutual.With an aim to maintain social harmony and progress, the government and its people should join hands. That is to say,every citizen ought to be dedicated wholeheartedly to the work of building social harmony. Powerful spiritual support should also be rendered to the government and to reciprocate, the government needs to help its people whenever complicated problems arise.

By and large, we should all bear in mind that important problems can be better solved through the combined efforts of the ordinary people together with the government.Evidently, every individual deserves the right to receive official assistance. On the part of the authorities, they should do their best to let people know that they are more than willing to help. Only in this way can a society prosper and experience harmony.

在我们日常生活里遭遇的无数难题之中，有很多过于复杂，自己是无法独立解决的。的确，每个人都离不开他人的帮助，尤其是处于困境时。家人通常是我们最可靠的求助之源，然而政府也有责任帮助其公民，且政府的帮助有时会产生更好的结果。因此，政府绝对有必要在我们需要的时刻给予帮助。

首先，在政府的帮助下，有些问题可以得到更好的解决。例如，当一个孩子失踪的时候，最好的办法就是立刻报警。警方随即会展开全方位的搜索。如果孩子遭到了绑架，警察是最有能力将其从危险中解救的人。当附近一家工厂导致了严重的污染，并威胁到了居民的健康，也应该向政府求助。这样，就会有即刻的措施出台来防止工厂释放出更多污染物。当一位消费者买到了伪劣产品，他/她可以寻求政府的法律援助。这样，他/她的损失也许可以得到补偿，其基本权利也得到了更好的保障。很显然，对于以上这些重要问题，政府是最佳的求助对象。

作为社会公仆，官员理应尽全力帮助有困难的群众。在过去，毛主席曾经鼓励中国政府全心全意为人民服务。这种鼓舞应该得到世世代代的继承和发扬。毋庸置疑，存在于政府当局与普通民众之间的鸿沟需要缩小。有些人不愿意向政府寻求帮助的主要原因之一就源自此鸿沟。人们已经形成了这样的印象：政府官员总是太忙了，根本无暇顾及他们的私事。这种评判需要做出改变。

实际上，社会责任是相互的。为了维持社会和谐与进步，政府与人民应该携起手来。也就是说，每一位公民都应该为建设社会和谐的工作全心奉献，同时还应给予政府强大的精神支持。作为回报，每当复杂难题出现时，政府需要向群众伸出援助之手。

总而言之，我们应该牢记一点，那就是，通过普通百姓和政府机关的共同努力，重要问题便可得到更好的解决。的确，每个人都拥有接受官方援助的权利。而对于政府当局来说，他们应该尽量使群众明白他们心甘情愿给予帮助。只有这样，社会才能繁荣发展，人们才能和谐共处。
