　　Another construction plan has been announced by the local government, saying that a new high school may be built in my community. As soon as I heard the inspiring news, I couldn't help feeling delighted and grateful. Without doubt, the establishment of a new high school will bring about many benefits to our community. Such a decision ought to win support from our town's residents.

　　To begin with, building a new school will benefit the students in the community. There might be a number of them whose schools are not near their neighborhoods, and have to spend much time traveling to and from school every day.They may also need to get up early to catch a bus, while others may choose to go to school by bike. Obviously, their safety may be challenged by heavy rush hour traffic. If a new high school is built near their homes, much of these students' time and energy can be saved. They could concentrate more on their studies, and their parents will no longer worry about their safety during travel.

　　Furthermore, with a new school being constructed the overall local education level will be improved. As a matter of fact, competition among schools can motivate other schools to improve their own teaching services for fear of challenges to their enrollment levels and revenue. In conjunction,students are endowed with more choices. They are truly entitled to select their most desired schools and compete for enrollment.

　　Students will not be the only beneficiaries of a new school. Many job opportunities will be provided for the local citizens. From a certain perspective, the new school can help solve an unemployment problem in the city. As soon as construction work is started, there will be a demand for construction workers, architects, designers and engineers.

　　When the whole project has been successfully completed, a large variety of job vacancies may also become available,including the teaching staff, administrative and logistical personnel as well as a security force. Additionally, if the school expands in the future it will continue to bring benefits to the local economy.

　　In brief, the government ought to spare no effort toraise the general education level of our community. Building more schools constitutes an effective approach to reach this goal. Therefore, it is quite worthwhile to construct a new high school in our community. As long as the teaching quality is ensured and the school facilities are up to standard, it will certainly be a benefit to our town.

　　简言之，政府应该不遗余力地提高我们社区的整体教育水平。建设更多的学校就是达到此目标的有效途径之一。因此，在我们社区建设一所新中学是非常值得的。只要教学质量得以保证，且学校设施达到合格标准，它必将对我们的城市有益。
