Task 1

Some people like to get advice from their parents. Others prefer to get advice from their peers. Which do you prefer and why?

Sample Answer

I prefer to ask my parents for help when making decisions.

Because they are more experienced and can give me more useful advice. For example, when it comes to choosing a school, they will know what factors to consider like location, ranking, tuition, and stuff like that. So, parents would always give me more useful suggestions.

In addition, parents are more resourceful than people of my age. Like if I want to apply for a job, my parents may know someone who is working there, and they may introduce that person to me. In that case, I can get more information: like working environment, how to prepare for the job interview and the company culture.

That's why I think it's a good idea to listen to your parents when it comes to making decisions.
