If you need to take a course, which professor’s course would you like to take?

- a professor who was voted the most popular;

- a professor who has just won an award for outstanding research

　　Inevitably, choosing appropriate professors could largely help students with their performance in university. Clearly, the one with great award would do students more favor.

　　To begin with, it is undoubted that the professor winning an award could significantly enrich students’ mind with more academic knowledge. The main reason is that teachers granted with an award are more likely to possess better academic background, due to the fact that the majority of awards belong to those spending more time researching and collecting academic information. Consequently, based on abundant academic background, those professors could enrich students’ mind. However, popular teachers could hardly allow students to have similar experiences based on the fact that those popular professors could be less expert at researching and doing experiments. My own story could be better than anyone else. While choosing professor, I chose Professor Joe without any hesitation, owing to the fact that he just won an international award. Consequently, as attending Joe’s courses, I soon became aware that I learned countless academic knowledge, especially in the field of marine biology, thanks to his substantial experience during the period of winning the award. Thus, most students in his class could receive large quantities of knowledge. However, the students following popular professors admitted that they could rarely have access to the academic knowledge, since their professor lacked similar experience of winning award. Hence, our academic knowledge could largely be enriched once we choose professor with awards.

　　Besides, students could considerably be motivated to study with more endeavors by the professor with awards. The primary reason is that attending the course of professors with awards could enable students to be fully conscious of the efforts related to the process of approaching success, which means that students would possibly be absorbed in their major with this enthusiasm. Consequently, students could spare no effort to study harder in the professors’ classes. Nevertheless, students studying in popular teachers’ courses could barely possess this motivation since they would not be aware the hard work of approaching success. The story occurring to myself could also prove the statement mentioned above. Since I attended the course of Professor Joe, I sincerely realized that he spent tons of energy and time preparing for the award, after which I determined that I was supposed to follow his process to study my major. Consequently, I began to spend more in gathering more knowledge concerning the marine biology, which truly paved my way to excellent performance in my study. Nonetheless, other students following popular professors indeed never had this awareness to study better, since their professors were not models in this aspect.

　　To put everything in a nutshell, choosing the professor could allow students to be enriched with more academic knowledge and be better motivated to study harder.
