Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Young people nowadays help each other more than in the past.

Some say it is more common to see the younger generation at present offer somebody else a hand when compared with those living in previous eras. I agree with this opinion.

There is no doubt that today's society and schools pay special attention to guiding young people in helping others. Apparently, the main reason is that when young people are called upon and encouraged to actively act to help others, they can learn a sense of accomplishment and social responsibility in the process of helping others, because society needs young people to have these qualities to complete some of the tasks they are assigned, such as regular work summaries or continuous reflection to improve their own behavior. As a result, young people with a greater sense of responsibility are more likely to be favored by companies and are happier after achieving some goals. However, once young people lack this skill, they will encounter some setbacks at work when entering society. Here is an example which can perfectly demonstrate the point mentioned above. As a recent employee, Alice's team manager often asks them to work with each other, which gives them many opportunities to help other team members and listen to suggestions from other colleagues, such as how to quickly gather data or how to fix their own proposals. Unfortunately, when I was first hired, I did not meet a boss who encouraged employees to help each other. Therefore, employees need more opportunities to ask for help from others and give help.

Moreover, it is universally acknowledged that young people are more available to offer help based on the improvement of living standards. Obviously, the main reason is that when young people have enough to eat and wear, they are better able to help those in need, due to the fact that they can afford to do that, such as extra money and time. As a result, young people with better incomes and flexible schedules are more likely to reach out to others. However, once young people do not have a stable income or decent job, they are likely not to take the initiative to help others. Here is another example which can perfectly demonstrate the point mentioned above. As a clerk without decent work, Tom was always occupied in earning three meals a day to feed his family, which left him with no energy to help people living in poverty, such as delivering fresh fruits and vegetables. Therefore, apart from being exhausted, Tom rarely reaches out to others. Luckily, however, once I have a steady income, I will notice roadside beggars and offer to help them raise their hands, such as giving pocket money and sharing some of their food and clothing.

In conclusion, I believe that today more young people prefer offering help than before .
