Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? We should always hold firm to our own beliefs when we're arguing with others.

I would probably give in instead of holding firm to my beliefs.

First, if I always insist that my friends are wrong, they may get offended, and this may even cause further conflicts between us. The situation might be pretty intense. And you know, I'm an introvert and I tend to shy away from conflicts. So, I do not want my friends to dislike me for being too stubborn or narrow-minded.

Besides, if we cannot reach an agreement, then we’ll be having this argument forever.

What’s the point of doing this if we cannot reach a compromise? The argument will be pretty meaningless. And we’ll just end up wasting a lot of time. So, that’s why I would not choose to stand firm on my values and beliefs, and I tend to be more open-minded.
