Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? University professors should allow the students to record their lectures. Please explain why and include specific details and examples in your answer.

托福独立口语参考答案

I agree with the statement.

Because I think it helps with the students’ learning. Sometimes the professor may talk too fast in class and students don’t have time to write everything down. And sometimes students may get distracted in class and miss out some important information. So the recordings of the lecture allow them to review the class and find out what they’ve missed.

Second, even though the school tries to prohibit students from recording lectures, the policy still won’t work. Because most students bring their cellphones and laptops to the classes, and they can use the voice recorder apps on their electronic devices to record the lecture without getting noticed. The professors definitely don’t have the time and patience to check and supervise every student.
