All university students should be required to take at least a course that teaches them the culture of a country other than their own.

Inevitably, globalization has long been playing a fundamental role in our life, no matter concerning which aspect in our life. From my perspective, learning exotic culture could definitely do the college students a great favor and the reasons are as followed.

To begin with, it is universally acknowledged that the university students acquiring foreign culture would pave a great way to get acquainted with foreigners easily, which would surely enlarge their social circle. Obviously, the main reason is that as the young are usually keen on social media, some of whom tend to be influenced by issues from other countries, obtaining more knowledge about foreign culture would enable them to make friends with individuals even living abroad. Thus, they could surely enlarge their social circle based on sufficient foreign culture background attained in college. The story happening to Zoe could perfectly prove this statement. Zoe’s life was changed completely since her university arranged the foreign culture course, France life, as a compulsory course. She began to browse French websites and found some great genius French there, who could not only chat in French but also share brilliant ideas. Indeed, she had made tons of foreign friends due to the fact that she was quite familiar with French culture learned at school. Thus, foreign culture courses would definitely help enlarge the college student’s social circle.

Besides that, it is undoubted that the foreign culture courses would also help the students’ career after graduation. Apparently, the primary reason is that once interviewed in some foreign-invested company, graduates all are required to communicate with foreign colleges or superiors from the workplace. Consequently, once enriched with the abundant knowledge about that culture, students would clearly have more access to the recognition of the workplace, which could also contribute to their successful career due to eliminating more obstacles in interacting with each other. The story occurring to Zoe could once again prove that. After graduation from college with enough knowledge about France, she applied for a job vocation provided by a French company. Fortunately, all of the interviewers were quite impressive about her performance in the interviews thanks to her collection of French culture concerning red wine as well as some French language. Thus, all of her work had been quite smooth since then owing to the fact that she could always deal with the problems concerning French clients or employers. Thus, the foreign culture courses would guarantee a better working opportunity for university students.

To put everything in a nutshell, setting foreign culture course for college students would help them with more friends as well as more working opportunities.
