Some professors at university do not allow students to record lectures. Do you agree with this policy?

Well, I personally don’t think this policy will work. First, recording lectures is a good way for students to learn. What I mean is students can benefit from this a lot by reviewing course materials after class or before quizzes and exams. If there’s anything that students do not understand 100%, they can simply watch the videos over and over to make sure they have mastered the key points. This works for the late comers too; in case they miss anything important at the beginning of the lecture. What’s more, professors can also benefit from this. If students post those lecture videos online, professors then have chances to review their teaching process and noticing small mistakes if there’s any.
