托福写作机经6.28

In order to give children interesting experience to stimulate inspiration and improve their mental development, which one do you prefer ?

1. offer children a trip to cultural events (such as shows or museums) and natural location(such as parks);

2.let students buy/read interesting books outside classroom by giving them a certain amount of money.

托福写作机经范文6.28

Inevitably, it is essential to provide children with interesting experiences to stimulate their inspiration and improve their mental development. Though there are different ways to do this, from my perspective, offering children a trip to cultural events and natural locations is the best option, and the reasons are as followed.

To begin with, the first reason why offering children a trip to cultural events and natural locations is better is that it provides them with a hands-on learning experience. For instance, visiting museums can be a great way for children to learn about history and culture, during which they can see historical artifacts and learn about events that shaped our world. Furthermore, visiting natural locations such as parks can offer children a chance to learn about different types of plants and animals, which can also give them an opportunity to learn about the importance of preserving the environment. These experiences can be more effective than simply reading about these topics in a book. However, once children never acquire such an opportunity, they would barely experience such a wonderful journey there and probably lack specific necessary knowledge compared with those attending that.

Besides, what would be hardly neglected is that it can help children develop social skills. Obviously, the main reason is that when exposed to new experiences, children have to learn how to interact with others in those environments. For instance, visiting a museum in a group setting can help children learn how to behave appropriately in public spaces. Similarly, visiting a park can offer children a chance to interact with other children and learn how to play cooperatively. These experiences can help children develop social skills that will serve them well in their personal and professional lives. In contrast, while simply staying in traditional areas, children would no grasp another chance to cultivate such great skill, since they sometimes may be restricted to where they have always been all the time without any sincere interaction with peers.

In conclusion, offering children a trip to cultural events and natural locations is a great way to stimulate their inspiration and improve their mental development, which clearly provides them with hands-on learning experiences and helps them develop social skills. Therefore, parents and educators should prioritize these types of experiences for children to help them grow into well-rounded individuals.

托福写作机经6.20

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Governments should not provide financial support to artists (For example painters, writers, musicians …),let them support themselves..

托福写作机经范文6.20

Created by famous artists and musicians, those fantastic paintings and songs pass the glorious history and splendid human civilization in its own characterized way. With the rapid development of modern society, people are requiring for a more exalted spiritual world and therefore lots of them believe that governments should give financial support to artists and musicians, hoping this will motivate them to come up with new ideas and work. However, as far as I am concerned, governments had better not provide this support.

To begin with, artists and musicians may naturally begin to depend on the finance from the government which discourages them from producing good works. As the Chinese saying goes “when humans are born, they tend to be inert”. Such is human nature, when painters and composers feel at ease and do not have to worry about their livelihood, they will automatically stop working as hard as they can. As a result, it is impossible for them to create drawings and musical compositions which can be honored as wonders of human society. On the contrary, fantastic works always come from adversities. For instance, the most outstanding music of Beethoven comes from the time period when he became almost completely deaf. It was his poor health and strapped living conditions that inspired him to fight against the miserable reality and determine his own destiny. During this time period, he composed and the , both of which are appraised to be among the most important pieces in the music history. Doing art itself is a miserable process, only with strong wills and unyielding backbones can those people create miracles that will be passed down to the next generations. Removing the resistance by giving them financial support will do nothing less than destroying the art and music.

Furthermore, when artists and musicians are given financial support, they will be controlled by the government’s will and intentions and therefore constrains their mind and prevents them from showing the social reality to the general public. Since the money supply comes from the government, states will become the ruler of mind which enables them to shape facts as they want, distort truths as they prefer. This phenomenon does great harm not only to art and music, but also to the whole human civilization. The idea can be illustrated by the example of America and China. In China, the government provides all the necessary financial support to artists and musicians and as a result, people can never see composers or painters giving works that criticize the wrong governmental policies and the conflict between social hierarchies. In the US, however, artists are independent from the control of local governments and therefore it is common to see caricatures arguing against government decisions. Since the democracy and moral values require people to have critical thinking about everything they meet in their daily life, giving financial support to artists and musicians is depriving people of this fundamental franchise.

To sum up, considering the inert human nature and potential control of mind from the governments, it is always encouraged that artists and musicians live independent life and make more contribution to the human society.

托福写作机经6.14

Some people believe that classrooms in high school (students aged 15-18) should be organized into skill groups meaning that students who score well on certain subjects would learn in a classroom together with people with similar skill levels. Other people believe that high school classes should include students with different skill levels, meaning that students who score low on certain subjects should be placed with students who score high. Which view do you agree with? Why?

托福写作机经范文6.14

Today, in China, there is no exaggeration that education can determine as well as change one’s life. Countless parents are willing to devote an enormous amount of fortune or even sacrifice their own life to send their children to distinguished universities for higher level of education, given the fierce social competition they may face in future. Before this, the quality of education in high school cannot be ignored. Then the responsibility to create ideal learning atmosphere for students should be borne by high schools.

If high schools cannot meet this demand, they will not only shatter the dreams of students but also fail their families. Therefore, it seems quite reasonable that students with high score on certain subjects should study with the like in that this way can ensure the scores of these top students. More specifically, moderate peer competition existed in such groups can be conducive to the academic development of these students. In addition, people with similar interests are easier to get along with, so that it is highly possible for them to widen and diversify their social network, which undoubtedly will have a positive influence on their career or life in future. Impressive as it is, however, when we look at this from a different view, everything could be turned upside down.

The nervous system of the young in adolescence is still developing and thus they cannot successfully tackle with every adverse situation. If one of these students fail in the exam or cannot keep up with others, then he or she may be isolated and hit the rock bottom. Had we never experienced the feeling of suffocation brought about by intense competition from our peers? The answer, I believe, is evident. On the contrary, working with students who have different skill level can be a relief because there is no need to compete with each other in the similar fields of study. At another, as is well-know, we are gravitated to people who are different from us, which provides us with more possibilities. In fact, we can learn from others to better our weaknesses and guarantee a comprehensive development. For example, many internet influencers are inclined to learn from each other to innovate their own materials and receive more views.

To wrap up, we cannot be heedless about the negative impacts organizing students in skill groups may generate. Nevertheless, we also cannot go so far as to dismiss it as worthless.

托福写作机经6.10

Do you agree or disagree with the statement? People in the past are more friendly than people today.

托福写作机经范文6.10

In the winding river of human civilization, one precious merit, as we all know, is friendly: a sturdy hand reaching out to pull us out of a quagmire; a cordial welcome to accommodate us to a new environment; a lovely smile for forgiving our fault. As time passes by, however, nothing can remain unchanged. Today, for some reasons, it appears that people are becoming less friendly than before.

In contemporary society, computer science and information technology evolve at an astounding rate, resulting that the use of automation has pervaded almost every corner of our life. Interacting with intelligent assistants or smart machines, such robot mops or just your smart phones, has become a normal. To ask these hi-tech products “for help”, all we have to do is to greet to them, like ‘hi Siri’, to arouse the embodied artificial intelligent and then give a few key words to get what you want. Several days ago, stuck in the plight of depleted creativity, I had a conversation with Chat GPT, the most powerful AI developed by OpenAI, to make up a draft for a particular speech. All I typed in is a speech to encourage staffs to keep up high morale and the answer from it turns out to be passionate, logical as well as fluent. Convenient as it is, however, the negative impact it exerted on us cannot be ignored. The way we treat machines is subtly eroding the way we treat ourselves. Is there any need to speak to a machine politely? Do we treat it with respect? Has anyone ever thought about having empathy with it? In the end, not only what we are complacent about now will backfire but even, at the worst, our civilization could collapse someday in the future.

Furthermore, another obvious reason for my perspective is the way we lead our life. As urbanization comes to its climax, more people than ever before have crowded into cities with leading industries for pursuing their dreams and looking for opportunities. Given that the rate of population growth exceeds the rate of resource exploitation, the burden of life could crush the people who live in a prosperous city. In a metropolis like Shanghai, it is pretty common to see that some young adults work a full-time job during the day and a part-time job at night to pay off their exorbitantly high housing mortgage. They lack the time to slow down their life and to look around, not to speak of perceiving the others’ need or feeling. Consequently, being indifferent comes to be the only antidote to balance the depressing lifestyle while being friendly is put in the rearview mirror.

To be short, whether we are friendlier in the past is a tricky question. However, if we narrow down it to the way we treat to hi-tech products and the way we live, the answer is evident.
