托福写作新题型机经试题

Doctor Achebe:College tuition has been rising steadily, putting financial pressure on many families. One proposal is that government should cover tuition costs so that anyone can attend college for free. What do you think? Should government pay for college and make higher education free? Please explain your viewpoint.

Claire: I believe college should be free for all students. This would promote fairness and access to education, giving underprivileged students more opportunities. Everyone deserves a chance to pursue higher education, regardless of their financial situation. Free tuition would open doors for many capable students who currently can't afford the high costs of attending college.

Paul: I don't think college should be free for all. That could attract many students who aren't genuinely interested in learning, overcrowding classes. It's better to keep some cost so students are motivated and classes aren't too large, which hurts the quality of education.

托福写作新题型机经范文

Although a surge in the number of students due to free college education may potentially lead to overcrowded institutions and a decline in the quality of education, I believe that the government should provide free college education as it can boost local economic growth. Obviously, the primary reason is that when capable students can receive higher education without worrying about tuition, more individuals will be equipped with advanced knowledge and specialized skills needed in today’s job market, which means that there will be a more educated workforce, contributing to innovation and increased productivity. For instance, in 2014, Germany abolished tuition fees for undergraduate students at all public universities, which led to a dramatic increase in university enrollment, thereby expanding the pool of educated individuals in the workforce and providing the country with a strong economy. On the other hand, if colleges are not free for all, capable students from low-income families will be prevented from pursuing higher education, which can result in a less skilled workforce and hinder economic growth. Therefore, I hold the notion that governments should cover all the college tuition costs as it contributes to the development of the local economy.
