　　Some students like to review their notes regularly on a daily basis, while others like to review their notes just before the test. Which do you prefer?

　　Well, I personally prefer to review right before the exam.

　　The first reason is because reviewing notes on a daily basis is actually time-consuming. I need to take at least one hour per day after class to go over my notes, highlight some key points that I do not understand. In that case, how am I gonna have enough time for other things like parties, clubs and stuff.

　　Also, cramming for test can actually leave me better memory. I believe short-term memory works a lot for me when taking exams. I could remember things clearer and would not be able to forget them.

　　Some professors at your university do not allow students to record lectures. Do you agree with this policy?

　　Well, I personally don’t think this policy will work.

　　First, recording lectures is a good way for students to learn. What I mean is students can benefit from this a lot by reviewing course materials after class or before quizzes and exams. If there’s anything that students do not understand 100%, they can simply watch the videos over and over to make sure they have mastered the key points. This works for the late comers too; in case they miss anything important at the beginning of the lecture.

　　What’s more, professors can also benefit from this. If students post those lecture videos online, professors then have chances to review their teaching process and noticing small mistakes if there’s any.
