　　下午场的托福考试，听力部分难度还是很大的，尤其是两篇对话，好多考生听的云里雾里。第一篇对话讲给猴子写的音乐，是一篇学术性很强的对话。各位积累一下词汇，对对答案。

　　第一篇对话

　　orchestra: 管弦乐队

　　composition: 作品

　　scared: 害怕的

　　resemble: 与…相似;像

　　Why does the student go to see the professor?

　　To seek his opinion on a recent study involving music

　　What does the student imply about the piece of music she wrote?

　　She was influenced by styles of music she heard in one of her classes.

　　What did researchers conclude after having monkeys listen to music that was composed for humans?

　　Monkeys seem to prefer when music is not playing.

　　What is the student’s opinion of the compositions that were written for monkeys?

　　She is not convinced that the compositions are really music.

　　What does the professor imply when he says this:

　　“Was it music? Well, I guess it depends on how closely resemble the original monkey calls.”

　　If the music sounds just like the monkey calls, it should not be considered music.
