　　什么是主旨目的题?

　　requires the listener to understand critical vocabulary phrases or facts from several points in a text and to interpret to identify the key points of the text. Questions that test understanding the gist may require you to generalize or synthesize information in what you hear.

　　如何识别主旨目的题?

　　What are the students mainly discussing? ETS

　　What is the main topic of the talk? ETS

　　What is the lecture mainly about?

　　What is the talk mainly about?

　　What is the main purpose of the lecture?

　　What is the professor mainly discussing?

　　【文章的主旨展开方式】

　　(1)直接展开：

　　today we are going to be talking about…

　　I’d like to begin my lecture by introducing…

　　let’s focus on…

　　let’s now take a look at…

　　I am here to talk about …….

　　I am interested in ……

　　I have got some questions about….

　　I wonder if you can……

　　(2)问答式展开：

　　how are companies typically structured?

　　Do you remember what they are?

　　How can you understand it?

　　Why does human being consider it important?

　　【解决方法】

　　1.通过开头引出关键信号词的语句

　　(根据话题的展开方式)

　　2.正确答案会抽象地表达

　　主旨贯穿全文，要概括主旨，在选项中多少采用抽象词的表达方式，例如history , difference, compare, methods …..

　　主旨目的题选项特征

　　1. 正确选项标志词：

　　history, development, background, information, growth, origin, features, characteristics, invention, creation, innovation, evolution, era, trend, comparison, classification等。

　　2. 干扰选项特征：

　　Too general: an idea that is beyond the focus of the conversation or lecture

　　too specific: a supporting detail instead of a main idea

　　inaccurate: not true, or only partially true, according to the speakers

　　irrelevant: about something that the speakers don’t mention

　　3. 并不意味选项中出现关键词就一定是答案，注意同意替换，注意原词陷阱, 正确答案的构成模式：“关键词+具体内容”。

　　4. 判断排除法

　　关键词或者细节与文章内容不符合：not correct

　　仅涉及了文章的部分内容：minor

　　答案选项即使包含了文章内容的一部分，但是无法包含全部内容，就不能作为合适的主旨。尤其要注意的是minor 的错误。
