　　There are also possible side-effects if rich countries help poor countries.Take North Korea for example. During the last several decades, North Korea has obtained considerable sources including money, food and technology from China,resulting in the harm that their government focused most of their own resources on the development of nuclear weapons. Without the help from China, North Korea would have paid more attention to improve the living conditions of their people. This is another example that rich countries should not help poor countries.

　　In conclusion, poor countries will stop making progress for their passive desire for donation from rich countries. They should depend on themselves. What’s more, never should a chance be given to rogue无赖 (barbaric野蛮) regimes harmful to the world.字数统计：304字

　　In my opinion, rich countries should help poor countries because the assistance is beneficial to both sides.

　　Firstly, financial aids lead to an increasing number of allies whose support plays an important role in a country’s expanding influence. In many international conferences, the intensity of a country’s view depends on the number of its fans, especially when challenged by competitive countries. Similar to an election, voters cannot resist the candidate who will cater to their needs once in position; poor countries will follow whichever rich country helps them. This is the key for a country to outweigh their competitors.

　　Secondly, developed countries’ enriching developing countries contributes to the world peace. In poor countries, people in poverty are most likely to turn out barbaric for survival. Like the Caribbean, enormous civilians surrendered to become pirates, robbing the innocent even to death,not to mention some other extreme regimes that became militant and launched wars. It is poverty that jeopardizes stable lives, another example that rich countries should help poor countries for the sake of world peace.

　　Not only bilateral interests and peace but also environmental protection against pollution deserves the motivation. In many poor countries like Brazil and Indonesia, tropical rain forests are burnt for over farming in pursuit of economic development. However, it causes environmental pollution, and harms people’s health. Technology or investment from developed countries can raise developing countries’ productivity and reduce the demand of farmland, saving the environment as a result.

　　No matter for a bigger voice on the international arena, for the sake of global peace, or for the retaining of fresh air and clean water, rich countries mustn’t step aside from the deteriorating conditions of poor countries.字数统计：282字
