　　分析：这句话想表达“专业人士的评价优于新手的评价”，better一词可以看出，此句的选词思维仅仅局限在“好坏”表层的意思。

　　--Expert judgment based on partial information is still way more reliable than rookie judgment based on full information.

　　分析：但“专业的评价”具备什么特点表现出其更好?此句的way more reliable很好地将“好”的概念具体化：这个更好是因为专业人士的评价给人感觉更可靠更值得信赖。虽然reliable和better在意义上并不相等，但reliable却很好地具体化了better的特点。其中，way是加强语气的一种副词，相当于far。

　　托福真题：All teachers in school should upgrade their knowledge and expertise every 5 years.

　　--I was fortunate enough to be guided during college by a good teacher, whose pedagogy was really good for us.

　　分析：此句依旧是把思维仅仅局限在“好坏”的表层意义上了，一位如何好的老师，老师的教学法如何有利于我们，都没有具体化的说明。

　　分析：inspiring一词将老师的形象具体化，仿佛让我们看到了一位总是积极向上的老师形象。

　　而be of immense help也将老师的教学法之好更细节化，正因为帮助很大，所以好。

　　托福真题：Government should spend more money on economic development than on environment protection.

　　--For many people, whose body functions are worse day by day, improving the bad environment is crucial for their health.

　　分析：此句中，身体机能逐日退化，糟糕的环境都用了bad，读起来是不是觉得句子的词汇意义过于局限?

　　--For many people, whose body functions are going downhill day by day, improving the deteriorating environment is crucial for their health.

　　分析：而在这个句子中，go downhill是个非常形象的词，表示“走下坡路”，“每况愈下”，用比喻手法凸显了越来越糟的意思，更显具体和生动。deteriorating不仅体现了环境的糟糕，还将环境糟糕的趋势体现了出来。

　　托福真题：Teachers are appreciated and valued nowadays not as much as they were before.

　　--Some of us even wrote down quite straightforward remarks saying that this teacherhad bad expertise and was not good enough for elementary school.

　　分析：这句话在表达专业能力不够好时，依旧用了bad，当我们一直纠结某方面不好该怎么表达的时候，思维局限的同时，表达自然也就局限了。

　　--Some of us even wrote down quite straightforward remarks saying that this teacher had his basic expertise missing and was barely qualified for elementary school.

　　分析：这句话是将某方面不好，转换成，某方面的能力缺失，在具体化内容的同时也体现了思维的转变，那就是反复强调的：不要把思维仅仅局限在“好坏”意思的表达上。
