　　Task 5

　　Problem:男生时一个reporter，在学校的一个journal工作，他们每周都会有一次meeting(once a week);本来这周的会是今天晚上开，但是editor临时通知会改到明天晚上开了;但与此同时他明天晚上已经说好了要去听一个朋友所在乐队的concert.

　　Solution1: 不听concert去开会

　　Cons1:他的朋友非常希望他去听，并且他已经和朋友说好了。

　　Solution2:不开会去听concert

　　Pros2: editor已经说了没关系，因为这件事情确实通知得很紧急。

　　Cons2:上周男生因为生病就没去开会，他不想连着两周不去。

　　Sample answer：

　　The man in the conversation has a problem.He works as a reporter in a school journal. And they have a meeting once aweek. This week’s meeting was supposed to be held tonight, but the editorchange it to tomorrow night in the last minute. However, the man has alreadypromised his friend that he would go to his band’s concert tomorrow night. Nowhe could either attend the meeting or he could go to see his friend’s concert.Personally speaking, I would recommend him to go to the concert. Because he hasalready made a promise to his friend. And his friend would be reallydisappointed if he doesn’t show up. On the other hand, since it’s a last-minutechange, it’s really not his fault that he has to miss two meetings in a row.Besides, the editor already said it’s ok. So, I think he should go to the concert.

　　描述第五题问题时一定要记得把背景也要说清楚，而在说解决方案时可以把优劣势留到论述偏好的时候去讲，否则很容易答不完哦!

　　Task 6

　　Main Concept: strong winds 会对鸟类的飞翔产生很大的影响，强风会让鸟儿们更难飞行，所以引出了鸟类的两种应对机制

　　Theory1: change the position of their wings

　　Sample1: eagles , 一般他们飞的时候their wings are stretched out，但如果有强风，他们就会收起翅膀(fold their wings for about half a second)变成一个streamline shape, 减少风的影响，而后又把翅膀打开，继续滑翔

　　Theory2: change the way they move

　　Sample2: hummingbirds 当有强风时 they would move their tailsback and forth to balance their bodies against the wind, 这样他们就不会受强风影响可以一直停留在花的位置去踩食了

　　Sample answer:

　　So,basically, strong winds can sometimes make it hard for birds to fly because itcreates a lot of resistance. So, birds have developed certain ways to cope withthis. And the professor in the lecture talks about two of them. The first wayis to change the position of their wings. For examples, eagles, normally theirwings are stretched out when flying. But when they encounter strong winds, theywould fold their wings for about half a second to form a streamline shape inorder to reduce the resistance. And then they would stretch out their wingsagain to keep gliding. The second way is for birds to change the way they move.For instance, when hummingbirds are drinking nectar from flowers when there arestrong winds, they would move their tails back and forth to balance theirbodies against the wind so that they could drink the nectar without beingaffected by the wind.

　　最后还要说的一点是，口语考试不仅仅要注意答题的内容，还有很重要的一点是大家的发音和语调，也就是我们说的打分标准中的delivery哦。所以也要记得平时多练习自己的发音啦!
