Just as what has been said in the popular proverb, "East and West, home is the best," home is certainly "where the heart is." No matter what distinctive roles people are playing in their professional lives, whether doctors, engineers, or CEOs, as soon as they return home they will all become sons or daughters, brothers or sisters, fathers or mothers. These titles are the most familiar and the closest to one's heart. Indeed, the fast pace of modern life has deprived citizens of more leisure time to spend with their family outside of work. From my point of view, being with the family is of greater importance.

In the first place, being with family is a happiness that far outweighs any successes achieved at work. Undeniably, nothing is more pleasing than cooking and dining with one's parents. Without doubt, one ought to treasure each day spent with family. Home encompasses the richest sources of happiness in one's whole life. For instance, a sense of fulfillment gained from taking the family out on an enjoyablejourney around the country should be stronger than that gained from a fruitful but tiring business trip. Therefore, in spite of a tough workload, it is imperative to squeeze out enough time to do something with the family, whether it be watching TV comfortably in the sitting room or having a walk outdoors in a nearby park. Family union is a most common occasion but its value has exceeded any priceless treasure the world has ever boasted.

Secondly, it is the fundamental responsibility of every member of society to care about his family no matter how tight his working schedule is. If one only concentrates on his job and ignores his family, he is an absolute loser relative to basic social morals, no matter how tremendous his professional achievements might be. After all, "blood is thicker than water."

Of course, having more time spent with the family does not mean working is unimportant. The pleasure at home is never contradictory to the passion shown to one's work.Actually, the harmonious relationship at home helps keep people in a good mood during office hours, thus enhancing working efficiency. Moreover, when trapped in difficulties ordilemmas at work, one may turn to the family for help. Home is the best place for people to search for assistance and restore courage. No one else can be more supportive than family. Just like the best cure to a disease, lovedones are the most trustworthy and honest advisors. Having a face-to-face chat with them may immediately cause one to become totally refreshed.

Consequently, to obtain harmony between work and family is of essential significance to the working class in modern society. That is to say, it is highly recommended that people ought to free themselves from tight working schedules and leave enough time to enjoy life with their families. After all, love and care from the family is more important than money.
