托福写作新题型机经试题

Doctor Diaz: This week, we'll be looking at what governments around the world are
doing to improve transportation in large cities. Some governments are expanding roadways-adding lanes to highways, widening other heavily used routes. and even constructing new roads. Other governments are focusing on improvements to public transportation by modernizing.
Kelly: Focusing on public transportation makes the most sense. There is already so much traffic on the roads. Better-quality bus and train service would help reduce the congestion problem by motivating more people to take public transit. which would lead to fewer cars on the road.
Andrew: Unfortunately, it could take years to modernize a public transit system,
if governments want to more quickly see improvements in transportation, it would be better to focus first on upgrading roadways to handle more traffic. This would make car trips more efficient because drivers would spend less time in traffic each day.

托福写作新题型机经范文

Improvements to public transportation by modernizing existing train and bus systems should be the priority in large cities for several reasons. Firstly, a well-functioning and efficient public transportation system can significantly reduce traffic congestion, air pollution, and overall carbon emissions in densely populated areas. With the increasing urbanization and population growth in cities, the demand for public transportation is higher than ever before. By investing in modernizing train and bus systems, cities can accommodate this growing demand and provide a more sustainable mode of transportation for its residents. My personal experience with a modernized public transportation system further reinforces the importance of prioritizing these improvements in cities. A few years ago, my city implemented a new bus rapid transit system that drastically improved the efficiency and reliability of public transportation. As a regular bus rider, I noticed a significant decrease in travel time and congestion on the roads. The new buses were equipped with modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating, making my daily commute much more enjoyable. In conclusion, modernizing existing train and bus systems should be a top priority in large cities for both environmental and economic reasons.
