I think children should be encouraged to listen to or read news at an early age. The first reason is because children can get to know knowledge from different fields, which helps tapping their potential. What I mean is, by reading news like current events in art, science or sports, children may develop their interest fields. Therefore, they may have a clearer goal towards their future. Also, reading and listening to news can develop their comprehensive ability. Children will be better at reading articles or doing listening tasks. They won’t suffer difficulties like lacking or vocabulary once they get into school. As a result, reading news can lead to academic success at the same time.

Well, personally, I do think watching sports programs on television is a good use of time.

The primary reason is that it could help us unwind. What I mean is that students nowadays are under tremendous amount of pressure. Watching some programs can help students relax and release destructive emotions like depression, sadness or even anger. When they go back to their study, students can become refreshed and even more energetic.

Besides, watching sports programs on television could also help us learn cooperation skills like strategic coordination and selfless support. By observing how team members communicate, assist each other, and sacrifice for collective success, we gain practical insights into effective teamwork and shared responsibility.

Some people think it's best for children to grow up in a small town. Others think that growing up in the city offers more advantages. Which do you think is better? Explain why.

Well, personally, I believe that it’s better for a kid to grow up in a big city.

The primary reason is that growing up in the city provides access to diverse cultural experiences. What I mean is that children are regularly exposed to museums, theaters, and international communities. There are so many different ways to keep themselves entertained, which is definitely more fun.

Besides, big cities have more advanced educational resources like top-tier schools, well-equipped libraries, and a wide variety of extracurricular programs. All of these provide a more comprehensive learning environment. Such exposure not only enhances better academic performance but also helps children develop lifelong skills.

So these are the reasons why it’s definitely better for kids to live in big cities.
